UK-EU Separation: Impact on Exports- Hosted by D2N2 Growth Hub

This webinar is hosted by the D2N2 Growth Hub and East Midlands Chamber and funded through BEIS.

Are you currently selling goods/ components to overseas markets? Are these EU or third country transactions? Do you understand the difference and how familiar are you with terminology such as commodity codes, export licencing and controls, certificates of origin and proof of export?

The government has confirmed there will be no extension to the transition period, and continues to attempt to negotiate a trade agreement with the EU. Whatever the outcome of discussions at the end of the transition period with Europe in December all goods sold to Europe will have to go through a customs clearance process, which brings additional legal responsibilities for the exporter. Companies may not be familiar with customs procedures, many rely on their freight forwarders. Do you understand how this will potentially impact on costs, process, training and resource in your business and are you prepared?

This webinar will provide an overview of the impact of the separation process on your export business on a very practical level, and will also highlight wider areas for consideration based on the latest information coming from government.
