SHAPE Learning Partnership
SHAPE Learning Partnership is an ethical, not-for-profit Partnership dedicated to tirelessly working towards achieving optimal experiences for young people. Their focus is on developing educational staff to deliver outstanding, ambitious, and engaging physical activity, PE, and school sport.
The Partnership firmly believes in placing school sport, physical activity, and Physical Education at the core of schools. This approach aims to offer more young people the opportunity to cultivate their confidence, competence, and motivation towards maintaining a lifelong relationship with an active lifestyle. Currently, the Partnership supports 46 primary schools, 11 secondary schools, and 3 special schools across Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire.
Collaborating with educational, sports, physical activity, and mental health specialists, the organisation creates a network of support for schools and young people. The Partnership’s value lies in its connection with local, county, and national organisations that share similar values and beliefs.
Paul Ryan, the Partnership Development Manager, takes pride in being based in Chesterfield and being part of Chesterfield Champions. He expresses, “SHAPE has been the trusted provider of PE and School Sport support in the local area for nearly 20 years. Making a difference to the lives of young people, community focus is paramount for us. Being part of Chesterfield Champions allows us to extend our involvement with the community of Chesterfield.”
