Apprentice Town – Find Your Apprenticeship
The Find Your Apprenticeship event taking place on Tuesday 10th August is the perfect opportunity to meet with local apprentice and training providers.
There will be a total of 7 sessions taking place on the day with local apprentice and training providers. They will showcase their current apprenticeship vacancies, traineeship opportunities and the support which is available to you.
Make sure to join the sessions on the day using the joining links supplied by the providers below. You can choose to attend as many sessions as you like.

Apprentice Team – 10am
Apprentice Team Ltd are a registered training provider delivering apprenticeships and work-based qualifications, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. We are based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, and we deliver training throughout the country through our team of dedicated assessment and tutor professionals. Operating for 9 years within the training and skills industry, we have a wealth of experience and can provide bespoke support and guidance to employers and learners. We specialise in areas such as Business Administration, Customer Service, Digital Marketing and many more.
Within our session, we will do an overview of Apprentice Team Ltd, information session about apprenticeships, current apprenticeship vacancies, information session about the kickstart scheme, current kickstart vacancies as well as a Q&A at the end of the session.

Buxton and Leek College – 11am
Buxton and Leek College is an FE College based in both Derbyshire and Staffordshire and is a part of the University of Derby. We offer over variety of career focused courses across 21 subject areas, for all ages, abilities and ambitions; including full and part time courses, work based and industry short courses, University Level and Access qualifications, Leisure courses, Apprenticeships and Traineeships.
In this session we will cover the full time and apprenticeship courses on offer by BLC, life at BLC, what support we offer, transport links, traineeships, part time and online courses.

Chesterfield College Group – 12pm
The Chesterfield College Group is a leading provider of further education, higher education, apprenticeships and professional training, with a national reputation for the quality of our provision and the high standards of customer service and support we offer.
Our session will aim to provide you with an introduction and overview of Apprenticeships, including information on how to apply and how to find an apprenticeship opportunity near you!

DBC Training – 1pm
Delivering Better Careers, Companies and Candidates ensures that we continue to be one of the East Midlands leading training and recruitment providers. We offer bespoke interventions to help individuals and companies maximise and release their potential. We have vacancies in business admin, recruitment, customer service, warehousing and digital marketing. We also offer pre-employment courses to help individuals secure work.
Our session will start with a discussion around the pre-employment courses, then proceed a discussion around apprenticeships, our current vacancies in the area and some advice and guidance on how to secure an apprenticeship. Kickstart vacancies will also be covered within this session.

GBS Apprenticeships – 2pm
We are a Digital and Leadership & Management specialist training provider based in the heart of Chesterfield, with a national presence in our sector. Our offering includes Apprenticeships, Commercial Training, e-Learning and Consultancy services. Our trainers are made up of industry experts eager to share their knowledge and best practice with the workforce of the future, and our aim is to equip all of our learners with the skills they need to succeed in their chosen career path.
The session will provide an overview of the various training opportunities GBS provide, this varies from pre-employment support such as CV writing, interview techniques and confidence building workshops, to Kickstart employability skills, ESF support for the employed, Digital Bootcamps and apprenticeships. We’ll provide details of how we’ve become a provider that can offer a solution for all ages and levels.

Juniper Training – 3pm
The Chesterfield Juniper Training centre is located in the centre of Chesterfield town itself. We look to unlock student’s potential, help them strive to be the best they can be and increase their own expectations.
There are pathways suitable for all, whether this be via the 16-18 Study Programme/Vocational Pathways, Traineeships, GCSE retakes, or Apprenticeship vacancies. Juniper Training works with over 60 employers in Chesterfield alone, supporting students to become competent in a specific job role.

University of Derby – 4pm
The University of Derby has been delivering apprenticeships now since 2012. We are quite unique as a group as we have a further education arm, in Buxton and Leek College, so can deliver apprenticeships from level 2 to 7. Our session will be about our flexible approaches to delivering the off the job training for apprenticeships. We will go through all of the apprenticeships that we deliver.

Apprentice Town is a partnership by Chesterfield Borough Council, Destination Chesterfield, the local business community, apprenticeship providers and The Apprentice Town steering group in order to raise awareness of apprenticeship activities and promote all aspects of apprenticeship provision.
