Promote Chesterfield
How can you help promote Chesterfield?
What can you do to help Destination Chesterfield promote Chesterfield and North Derbyshire as a wonderful place to invest, work, live and visit?
We would love our 230 Chesterfield Champions to help spread the word over the coming months by sharing one or more of Destination Chesterfield‘s marketing activities.
You could help promote the town through your business and personal social media accounts. You could include information about Chesterfield and North Derbyshire on your internal communications, linking to the Chesterfield website from your business website. And, of course, we’d love it if you could share with others via word of mouth.

1. A place to call home
Located on the edge of the Peak District, our town offers an exceptional quality of life. Can you help tell our town’s story as a place to call home?
We continue to build quality housing for residents in Chesterfield and Staveley, including increasing the number of homes around our town centre. Together, we can influence the supply of and demand for housing to meet both the borough’s economic growth aspirations and the government’s house-building ambitions.
Our upcoming marketing will attract new residents and encourage them to become active participants in our communities. Let us know you’d like to get involved, or join the Chesterfield Property Group.

2. Made in Chesterfield
Our town has a proud heritage of making, building and innovating.
Manufacturing represents 9% of all employment in our town, double the national average of 4.5%. Just a few of the products made here include holiday lodges, industrial centrifuges and weighbridges, industrial paint, cast iron bars and sustainable packaging.
Upcoming activities will support your recruitment efforts, link you with business support, and showcase investment. We put a spotlight on all commercial opportunities, including the East Midlands Investment Zone, which offers a transformative boost for manufacturing and green sectors.
Get involved by collaborating and sharing best practices through initiatives like the Chesterfield Manufacturing Forum. Or help us showcase careers in the sector through engagement with schools.
We showcase the latest opportunities for businesses in manufacturing, engineering, rail and green sectors via email and social media. Use our photography library to promote these sectors.
3. A Place to Experience
Chesterfield and Staveley town centres undergo significant transformations with major investments. New shops, dining options, places to live, and leisure facilities are emerging, and a Chesterfield Town Board has been established. Supported by Chesterfield Champions and partners, we showcase Chesterfield as a unique leisure destination to boost town centre living and attract new investment. Campaigns include:
- Christmas in Chesterfield (Nov – Dec)
- Valentine’s Day (February)
- Mother’s Day (March)
- Father’s Day (June)
- Summer in Chesterfield (July – Sept)
- Competitions (around every six weeks)
- What’s on guides (new dates added monthly)
- Stay in Chesterfield (refreshes 3 times per year)
We’d love for you to showcase these campaigns to encourage customers and friends to spend their leisure time in the town.
