Destination Chesterfield teams up with a number of partners to promote a range of business events that are relevant to manufacturing, engineering, property and construction businesses in and around Chesterfield.  These range from master classes to networking and from conferences to awards.

Made in Chesterfield Launch Event

Every year Chesterfield Champions and other invited guests come together for an evening drinks reception so that they can celebrate the success of the Made in Chesterfield campaign.

Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Manufacturing Forum

Destination Chesterfield in association with United Cast Bar and Natwest runs the Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Manufacturing Forum.

Forum events run quarterly throughout the year. It gives manufacturing and engineering businesses the chance to both hear from topical speakers and discuss business with your colleagues in the sector. You can also enjoy a 2 course lunch!

The Chesterfield Business Expo is an exciting event for local companies to promote their business and raise brand awareness, as well as increase sales and network. If you would like to book a place then head to the website.

Funded training courses

Green skills

Funded green skills courses for construction businesses include Solar panel installation, Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Awareness IMI Level 1 Award, Air source heat pump installation and commissioning, Installing internal/workplace wall insulation and NOCN Level 2 Award in Sustainability. These courses can be accessed through Chesterfield College.


Team leading

Help your team members step into a leadership role with a level 2 qualification in team leading.  The course takes place remotely over six weeks and you can access Government funding to cover the cost. More info can be found on Chesterfield College’s website.


Welding

Funding is available (depending on learner circumstances) for this level 1 course in welding that runs from September 15th 2025. More information can be found on the Chesterfield College website.
