Half term has never been more ‘love’ly! Step into an Elizabethan world of love and play through outdoor play and crafts at Hardwick Hall during half term.
What to expect
Linking to Elizabethan festivities celebrating St Valentine, a date in the calendar we still celebrate today, Hardwick Hall has play activities in the Stableyard. Inspired by themes of connection, pairs, gratitude and love such as ‘Match the pairs’, Connect Four, create your own sonnet or rustle up a Valentine’s feast in the mud kitchen.
- Explore the gardens and hall using the St Valentine’s themed spotter sheet
- Discover some of the love stories of Hardwick
- Share your own favourite love stories or a letter of appreciation to celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day of the 17 February.
Once the kids have tired themselves out from the Stableyard activities, drop in to the East Stables and try your hand at a variety of different crafts.
