Rail Ale Festival 2020
Barrow Hill Roundhouse and the Rail Ale Team have issued a joint statement regarding the coronavirus (covid-19) outbreak:
“It is with the utmost sadness that we have made the decision to postpone this year’s celebration of 20 years of the Rail Ale Beer & Music Festival at Barrow Hill Roundhouse.”
“As the country comes together to deal with the threat of coronavirus we must all do what we can to overcome it. Following discussions with all those involved in the organisation of the event – which was due to take place on 14th, 15th and 16th May 2020 – we have agreed that this year’s Festival will now take place on 13th, 14th and 15th August 2020, subject to the Government’s advice at that time.”
2020 will be the 20th Rail Ale Beer & Music Festival and the Rail Ale team have been hard at work for several months deciding how this land mark event can be well and truly celebrated!
To quench the thirst there will be over 350 real ales from around the country including many brewed very close to this corner of Derbyshire, a great range of ciders and craft beers and the return of the incredibly popular Prosecco Bar and Gin Palace.
For music lovers there will be fantastic live music in the marquee and on the main stage from jazz and brass through acoustic, funk and soul to rock and roll. The Food Court will be on hand to provide you with a tasty range of food to suit every appetite from pork pies to pancakes and hog roast to pizza; not forgetting the chocolate, the cheese and even coffee!
Between 12noon and 5pm on Friday and Saturday the popular Rail Ale train will be running for our visitors.
