Champions Event – Shop local, trade local
Date: Wednesday 29th July 2020
Time: 8:30am – 10:00am
Venue: Online via Zoom
How do we encourage more people and businesses to shop and trade locally?
Now more than ever, we need to support Chesterfield and North Derbyshire to strengthen the local economy.
At this Zoom event, there will be a panel discussion around the benefits of supporting local, including current activity and ideas for the future. The discussion will be led by Dom Stevens from Destination Chesterfield, with delegates attending also invited to ask questions. Panel to include
– Paul Chapman, S40 Local
– Jessica Risorto, Redbrik Estate Agents
– Andrew McDaid, Mitchells Chartered Accountants
– Chris Mapp, The Tickled Trout.
The Destination Team is also looking forward to officially announcing the finalists for this year’s Chesterfield High Street Awards at the event.
How do I join?
All registered delegates will be sent a link to join the event as the date approaches. Please book your place below. We advice that Google Chrome is your internet browser of choice for this event format – please make sure you download this in time for the event.
If you would like your name adding to the company list for the event – in support of online networking – please tell us on the form. A company list will be distributed prior to the event and we encourage you to make contact with fellow Champions.
Champions LinkedIn Group
Please do request to join the new Chesterfield Champions LinkedIn Group at if you haven’t already: https://www.linkedin.com/groups/3755428/. We have sent invitations to many of you already and continue to work down our lists (there are currently over 180 Chesterfield Champions organisations working with us to raise the profile of Chesterfield and North Derbyshire).
As Destination Chesterfield is keen to promote all of its activity, naturally we need to advise you that in booking on to this event, you are granting us all rights to photographs and recordings that we & our representatives may take of you or your associates at the event. This includes (but is not limited to), the right to use them in their printed and online publicity, social media, press releases and funding applications. However, rest assured that if you would prefer not to be photographed or recorded, contact us prior to the event or if not possible on the day before the start of the event.
Business Support ahead of the event
Should you require any extra support in the interim please do not hesitate to contact a member of the team. Take a look at our Business Support page and let us know if you would like any further information.
If you are able to share our Support Local page, either personally or through your company social media, that would really help the business community.
