Chesterfield Fireworks Extravaganza
A fantastic celebratory event for local residents, the Chesterfield Fireworks Extravaganza takes place at Stand Road Recreation Ground, Whittington Moor, this year taking place on November 4th.
The annual firework event organised by Chesterfield Borough Council commemorates 100 years since the end of World War One include a bonfire which will be lit by members of Chesterfield’s Ex-servicemen’s association, a short act of remembrance including standard bearers and playing of the last post to commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War.
The Chesterfield fireworks display will be set to music, which will include a rendition of I Vow To Thee My Country by the Central Band of the Royal British Legion, alongside the normal current and past chart songs.
Gates for the annual firework event will open at 16.00. The bonfire will be lit at 18.00 and the Fireworks will take place at 19.00.
Before the fireworks there will be live entertainment on the Peak FM sound stage from 17.30
