Try something different this summer and have a go at Paddlesports along the Chesterfield Canal.
Paddlesports are available to hire from Hollingwood Hub, so get your shorts or a wetsuit on and give something new a go (and be prepared to get a bit soggy!)

Instructor Sessions
An introductory 90 minute session with an instructor for £35.
A 90 minute group session with an instructor (up to 9 people) for £230.

If you want to explore the whole canal between Chesterfield and Staveley or maybe go for a picnic, it is possible to book a 6 hour session on any of the craft on any day between May and September when the above sessions are not taking place. The prices are £50 for a Paddleboard or Single Kayak and £60 for a Double Kayak or Canadian Canoe. Please email chris@cjbtrainingandadventure.co.uk.
Conditions of Hire
- Hire will be dependent on weather and water conditions.
- Hire will be dependent on a risk assessment of the hirer(s) and any medical conditions.
- Make sure to take photographic ID. This will be photographed for security purposes.
- The minimum age is 6. There must be at least one adult in the group.
- Make sure to take your mobile phone to use in case of emergency. A waterproof bag will be supplied (used at your risk).
- A map and emergency contact number will be supplied.
- A changing cubicle is available. Please note wet suits are not supplied, so a change of clothing is advisable.
- You must wear a buoyancy aid, which will be provided.
- Helmets are available on request.
- You will be given a safety briefing and help with launching your craft.
