Vicar Lane will be hosting a number of Christmas fun activity days throughout this Christmas period!
Meet Santa at Vicar Lane
18th November – 24th December
It wouldn’t be Christmas for the little ones without a visit to the big man in red, so you’ll be pleased to know that Santa will be in his grotto and welcoming little guests throughout this festive season.
Tickets are just £6.50 per child and photos are available for £2 each. Card payments are available.
The Cap and Whippet
From 29th November
Vicar Lane Shopping Centre is excited to announce the opening of a brand new, dog-friendly, pop-up bar in the Centre, in the run up to Christmas.
The Cap and Whippet will serve up a thirst-quenching menu of beers and spirits, all produced at Derbyshire breweries and distilleries. Customers will also find a range of Christmas gifts to purchase and take home. The bar will be open from 10am – 10pm (midnight at the weekend), 6 days a week from 29th November until Christmas Eve.
Christmas Wreath workshop
Saturday 30th November – 3 sessions available
Get your green fingers ready to craft your very own Christmas wreath in these festive workshops. The pro’s from Thanks A Bunch will be on hand to help you with your festive front door creation in these two hour workshops. Numbers are strictly limited to 10 per session and cost just £15 a ticket, which includes hot refreshments and mince pies. Over 16’s only.
Meet a Polar Bear
Saturday 30th November – 10am-4pm
Come and meet the life-like polar bear and pose for a Christmas selfie! He’ll be making 20 minute appearances, at intervals throughout the day.
Ice Sculpture
Saturday 7th December – 11am-1pm
See our professional sculptors carve a masterpiece from a block of ice! They’ll have you transfixed as a unique piece of art emerges from the ice throughout the event. See the sculpture in the centre until 5pm.
Festive Pop-up Cinema
Saturday 14th December from 2pm
See Christmas family favourite ‘Elf’ on the big screen at our pop-up cinema, opposite F. Hinds in partnership with Bluebird North Events.
Saturday 21st December from 2pm
Catch a screening of Christmas family movie ‘The Polar Express’ on the big screen at our pop-up cinema, opposite F. Hinds in partnership with Bluebird North Events.
Gift Wrapping
Saturday 7th / 14th / 21st December
