Business Support Pack
The new Love Chesterfield campaign has been launched by Chesterfield Borough Council, in partnership with Destination Chesterfield, to support the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors in Chesterfield.
Centred around Chesterfield town centre, and the borough’s high streets and shopping areas, the campaign is encouraging people to seek out Chesterfield’s shops, cafes, bars and restaurants – whether that be revisiting an old favourite or discovering something new.
The Love Chesterfield business support pack gives you the tools to support the promotion of the town and promote your businesses through the campaign.
Head over to www.chesterfield.gov.uk/love-chesterfield to discover more about the campaign.
Here are 5 easy ways your business can get involved with the Love Chesterfield Campaign.
1. Use #lovechesterfield on social media channels
Social media plays an important role in supporting businesses by driving footfall and ultimately increasing sales.
Remember that social media isn’t just about broadcasting, it is about community, listening and engagement. Interact with your customers and other businesses in the town, share , like, comment on content that fits with your companies ethos or your customers or is promoting good things that are happening in the area. The way social media algorithms work, the more engagements they have the further they are shared and the more people see them.
Make sure you use #lovechesterfield and support the town.
We will be monitoring, engaging with and sharing content to support our promotion of Chesterfield.
3. Send us your news stories and promote your events and activities with us.
If you have any positive news stories or events or activities happening please do share them with Josh.Marsh@chesterfield.co.uk and he will consider them for inclusion on the www.chesterfield.co.uk website and Destination Chesterfield’s social media activity.
You may want to send your news stories to the local media as well:
- Derbyshire Times
- S40 / S41 Local
- Heron Publication – Twist, Dronfield Eye, Wings , Activ8
- Derbyshire Live
- BBC Radio Sheffield
- Spire Radio
You can also upload your events to the visitchesterfield.info website run by Chesterfield Borough Council at https://www.visitchesterfield.info/information/submit-event

The Chesterfield Windows
The campaign visuals are highlighted using some of the key locations from across Chesterfield, the Market Place, the Winding Wheel and the Pomegranate Theatre just to name a few. Feel free to print them off, put them in your windows to decorate the town or use them on your social media to remind people where you are.
5. Create your own graphics bespoke to your business.
This campaign is about Chesterfield and its people, you. Put yourself into the heart of the campaign by using the Picture Frames as your personalised window and then share on social media.
The frames in this section can be used to link stunning images of your businesses to the campaign. You will need some basic photo-editing skills to do this and we will be sharing a how too video soon.
