It is important, as Destination Chesterfield shifts more of its time and resource to promote externally, that we continue to work with the communities of Chesterfield. We need to tell the stories of the borough – to turn their passion for the area into ambassadorial support and to help us achieve the objectives of growth.
The Chesterfield Champions network continues to be vital, both to Destination Chesterfield and the promotion of Chesterfield, and also to the businesses and organisations that commit to championing the area.
We will continue to give them a voice, share business support information with them and give them time to network and build relationships to trade locally.
We need to work with businesses, so they share a collective vision for the place and help us more to promote the town.
We need to continue to promote what is great about the area to local audiences. That includes events, news, opportunities for business support, and showcasing the great work businesses do in their sector and the local community.
